Triver shell is the main and important part of the peeler. The Triver shell is used in different sizes, including 5.5m, 5.25m, 5.4m, and 5.10m for barley and 5.11m for wheat waste. But what is a peeling device and what is its function?

Peeling device

It is a cylinder with indentation in different sizes, it is used for cleaning and grading all kinds of seeds and grains. It separates wrinkled, unripe and broken grains from whole grains.

This device is primarily a horizontal rotating cylinder made of a special carbon steel sheet with compact depressions. The grains to be separated enter the machine through the feeding hopper and are absorbed by the depressions of the rotating cylinder. Short and broken seeds enter the collecting tray by the depressions. Longer grains are removed from the indentation and transferred to the end section. There is an indicator scale at the end of the cylinder that shows the position of the collection tray. The position of the tray can be adjusted with a handwheel to achieve the best possible separation.

The device can be used in parallel or series to obtain two or more separations from the same feed. The machine is designed in such a way that the collection tray can be turned upside down to clean the tray thoroughly and quickly. The sunken cylinder is designed and produced in two pieces to facilitate cleaning or changing the cylinder. To ensure double cylinder replacement life, compared to other locally available machines, the machine is designed in such a way that the reversible dimple cylinders can be rotated when the dimples on one side are worn. To prevent dust accumulation, the device can be connected to an aspiration system. To compensate for the practical problems of noise and maintenance of variable speed devices, a three-stage pulley drive device is designed and built to achieve speed changes.

Optimum Industrial Equipment’s Triver shells are designed and manufactured in such a way that relatively higher efficiency and capacity is achieved due to about 18% more depression per unit of cylinder area, compared to other devices on the market. A newly designed decontamination system has been incorporated to keep the cylinder recesses clean of any dirt build-up.
